Twin pillars - youth and trade union work

Trade union caucuses and the party:

Socialist Party members in the trade unions play a key role in organising to develop and campaign for a fighting programme for workers’ resistance against the bosses and capitalism, including in the union elections. This work can be strengthened with branch support such as workplace activity and branch discussions. This autumn, our work in the NHS, where rank-and-file workers are starting to organise, and in schools, where we are fighting an election, will be important. Branches should identify one major workplace and aim for regular activity.
