Thurrock Council Dispute - Tony Davis

In April 2019 the pay structure for Thurrock Coucnil refuse workers was changed. In April 2020 the Cocunil removed overtime allowances. For some, this meant a loss of upto £4,300 a year.

After six weeks of industrial action, the workers won pay protection until 2024.

"We weren't going to stand down and roll over."
